Additional practical information

HYDRONE 7 is equipped with an outlet port that allows dry air to be directed straight into the grow tent using ducting. The optional intake port makes it possible to create a more efficient closed-loop airflow system, where humid air is pulled from the grow space, dehumidified, and then returned back into the tent.

Important for closed-loop applications: When using the HYDRONE 7 in a closed-loop system, it's important that the temperature is constantly and actively regulated using a ventilation system such as CLOUDLINE, so that cooler air is drawn into the grow tent when temperatures get too high. If the HYDRONE 7 is operated via a grow tent controller, it should be controlled in VPD mode for optimal results. This way, the reduction in humidity and the slight increase in temperature work together to maintain an optimal, higher VPD value during the flowering phase.

Like any dehumidifier, HYDRONE 7 generates additional heat during operation. In standard use, this may slightly increase the temperature in the room or grow tent. In a closed-loop configuration, active temperature control is recommended, for example with a ventilation system, to maintain stable and safe conditions for plants.

The best results in closed grow systems can be achieved by controlling the dehumidifier in VPD mode. In this setup, reduced humidity and the natural temperature increase generated by the unit can work together to help reach a higher and more suitable VPD level, especially during the flowering stage.

HYDRONE 7 features a 2 L condensate tank and can also be connected to a gravity drain, reducing the need for frequent tank emptying. The automatic shut-off function activates when the tank is full or incorrectly installed, improving safety and helping protect the grow space from water overflow.
