Maintaining the appropriate acidity and electrolytic conductivity of the medium in indoor cultivation is a key condition for proper plant development. Too high or too low a pH and EC in the substrate will make it difficult for the plant roots to absorb nutrients. In order to control the electrolytic conductivity and the acidity of the substrate in the crops, they should be regularly tested with appropriate equipment. In order for the test result to be reliable, the meter should be properly prepared by first cleaning the electrode. In special cases, the meter should be calibrated in a dedicated calibration fluid.
