CANNA Rootplugs are specialized propagation inserts designed for fast plant starts and the development of a strong root system from the very first days of growth. They provide optimal air-to-water conditions, shorten the pre-vegetative phase, and form a solid foundation for healthy plant development throughout the entire growing cycle. The product performs equally well for seed germination and for propagation from cuttings (clones).

CANNA Rootplugs are eco-friendly, fully biodegradable rooting cubes designed to provide the ideal balance between moisture retention and oxygen availability in the root zone. Their unique structure supports intensive root growth and reduces the risk of common problems during germination and rooting, such as overwatering or oxygen deprivation of the root system. Thanks to pre-drying, Rootplugs offer a long shelf life and maintain their properties over extended storage periods.

For best results, it is recommended to use CANNA Rootplugs together with CANNA Start fertilizer and the CANNA RHIZOTONIC additive, which:

After the germination or rooting phase, Rootplugs can be transferred directly into other substrates (coco, soil, hydroponics), creating a consistent cultivation system from start to harvest.

How to use CANNA Rootplugs?

For cuttings (clones):

1. Thoroughly soak the Rootplugs with clean water or a nutrient solution with EC 1.0–1.5 and pH 5.5–6.2. We recommend using CANNA Start together with CANNA RHIZOTONIC.

2. Place the cubes on a tray that allows excess water to drain away.

3. Insert the cutting into the prepared hole without pushing it too deep, leaving as much substrate volume as possible for root development.

For seed sowing:

1. Thoroughly soak the Rootplugs with water or a light nutrient solution (EC 1.0–1.5, pH 5.5–6.2). We recommend using CANNA Start together with CANNA RHIZOTONIC.

2. Ensure proper drainage of excess water.

3. Place the seed directly into the pre-formed hole in the cube.
