Depending on how often you use it, the specially formulated compost and natural bacteria in your Generator will remain effective for up to six months. When the contents of the Generator run out, you can easily empty it, clean it thoroughly, and insert a Refill. It's a good idea to have a CO2 Detector on hand to accurately monitor the levels of CO2 output and determine when a Refill is needed.

Similarly to the contents of the complete Generators, the CO2 Refills are packaged in a dry form. This allows you to store them conveniently without worrying about degradation or unpleasant odors. When the time comes to use a Refill, activating the dry mix is a simple process. Open the Refill bag and pour its contents into your Generator. Then, add hot water (not boiling) in the specified amounts according to the size of your CO2 Refill.

It is important to allow a 24-hour period before using the CO2 Generator after adding water. This period is crucial to ensure that the contents activate properly. After adding water, make sure to replace the Generator lid.
