LEMONGRASS 0.2g - Lux Series - W. LEGUTKO
Lemongrass - spice and ornamental plant
Grass forms thick rhizomes, from which grows a plume of thin leaves up to 1m long. Lemongrass in our climate is grown as a one-year or perennial plant requiring protection from frost during winter. Her mare and leaves contain citral and mircen oils, which give her an original, pleasant, lemony taste and aroma.
Apply:
Lemongrass is used as a spice in oriental and Mediterranean cuisine. It is ideal as an addition to soups, fish, poultry, as well as to make infusions, tinctures and tea.
Cultivation:
Seeds sow in February-March on pallets or into pots under cover. The seeds are b. fine, hence they should not be covered with earth, only to lightly push the board into the substrate. At 20°C, the 20-25°C sunrises occur after 3-4 weeks. As the seeding grows, overdo it into larger containers, which can be put outdoors in the summer. Before winter, plants should be placed in a greenhouse, winter garden or other large room with a positive temperature. Lemongrass requires a warm, sunny, wind-shielded stand and a permeable, moderately fertile substrate.
