Neem oil comes from the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), which is a native species found in South Asian, Southeast Asian, and partially Western Asian countries. Neem is considered a sacred tree in India and has many medical and cosmetic uses. Neem oil is produced from the seeds of the neem tree, thus possessing health and skincare properties. It's often used in Ayurvedic medicine to alleviate internal inflammations, skin diseases, and hair issues. Neem oil is also commonly employed in agriculture as a natural method to protect plants from pests and diseases.
Our neem oil is unrefined, cold-pressed, and 100% natural. Unrefined oils are mechanically extracted (pressed) without the use of high temperatures. These oils are usually filtered once to remove plant residues. Unrefined oils retain vitamin E, a natural preservative that guards against rancidity.
